The Wilberforce Academy is a membership programme aimed at students and young professionals with a passion to serve Jesus Christ in a variety of vocations including law, politics, education, media, arts, healthcare, ministry and business.

Our aim is that delegates will be prepared for servant-hearted, Christ-centred leadership in their communities, Churches, and workplaces, having been equipped with a robust biblical framework that guides their thinking, prayers and activity in addressing the issues facing our society.

You begin your membership with the Wilberforce Academy residential programme, a week-long intensive looking at biblical worldview and culture where you will be equipped to engage in the major issues facing Christians in this cultural moment.

Beyond the residential programme, you will have access to Wilberforce Academy Refocus events, where you will receive more in-depth teaching, network with other Wilberforce Academy members, and continue to be equipped for Christ-centred service in public life.

Applications for the Wilberforce Academy 2019 are now closed.

“It has awakened my heart in areas where I’ve become passive in my faith… – accepting culture and everything with it. I feel like this may set me up for a specific call… and how God wants to use my degree for His glory.”

“It has been transformative: changing how I engage with culture, how I apply the scriptures to every day life and it has inspired me to be an advocate for the voiceless. So many things remain with me, and my pages and pages of notes will be revisited in the years ahead. My reading list has increased, but so too has my boldness. I grieve for how far the UK has fallen, but I am encouraged and feel empowered to make a change.

[The Wilberforce Academy] gives you the chance to engage with high quality academic research, to think deeply about what it means to live out our Christian faith in our various contexts and, vitally, the Academy empowers the next generation “to be the change”.”
